WMP Christmas Service

Uncategorized

The band of the Salvation Army serenaded staff at HQ on Monday (17 December) as a thank you for WMP’s service.

The nine musicians played a selection of classic Christmas carols from the reception area balcony as staff gathered below to sing.

Unions Unite and Unison along with the WMP Benevolent Fund provided mince pies and chocolates as a special thank you for 12 months of hard work. A special delivery was made to call handlers from Contact who were unable to leave their key posts.

Mince pies were donated to the Salvation Army’s hostel a short walk from Lloyd House. A collection raised almost £100 for their life-changing charitable work – enough for dinner and companionship for 20 lonely older people this Christmas.

Leading the event was force chaplain, Rev John Butcher.
