It is good to see that our colleagues at West Midlands Ambulance Service are taking action today in their dispute over fair pay. Unite branch of West Midlands Police support them in what would have been a difficult decision to take. They will only be responding to life threatening calls during their action today.

Having first hand knowledge of working with these people, they aren’t ambulance drivers, they are highly trained paramedics and technicians (some senior) that respond to critically ill patients, saving lives on a daily basis and are asking to be recognised for what they do.
